We are trying as a family to raise as much money for JDRF as possible to help in the search for a cure and advancements in care for Type 1 Diabetes.

Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease, not caused by lifestyle or diet. They don't know how or why it happens and nor do they know yet how to cure it.

My eldest son has had Type 1 Diabetes since he was five ..... being almost 12 enough is enough, we need a cure for our son and for the countless other people in the World struggling day in and day out with blood glucose tests, injections (or cannulas for pumps) and so much more.

We don't just want a cure, we need one and this is us trying to do our but to aid that cause.

Previously this page had my son's face on, his name and it was his personal challenge, but to protect his privacy now he is getting older I have changed it a little. It is still his fight, one that we as a family are helping in any way we can.

My son wants nothing more than to be 'normal' and healthy. Please help in any small way that you can to help us reach our target of £1000.
