Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We decided to hold a 12 Hour CPR-athon to raise money for St John Ambulance and to teach CPR to as many people as possible during this time. 1/5 of Briton's don't know what CPR is and 60% have never been trained in it. We want to do our bit to help and change those statistics, CPR is such a valuable life skill to have and you never know when you might need it.
From 7am-7pm we will be doing constant compressions on a CPR dummy in The Compass, Penryn Campus, Cornwall. This will take around 86,400 compressions and burn 7920 calories. As well as this committee members will be around with other dummies to teach CPR to as many people as we can.
We have had several requests from people not in the area who would like to donate for this event so have set up this page to allow anyone to help us with our challenge. But if you are near by the event is open to everyone so pop for your free CPR lesson.
