Chalfont St Giles Junior and Infant Schools are in dire need of new Interactive Whiteboards for all of the classrooms. As Buckinghamshire is the lowest funded county we need your support and help!

Story

Chalfont St Giles Village School are in need of funds to support us with purchasing resources to support our enriched curriculum, new interactive white boards and books to further support our planning and delivery of the Power of Reading. As
Buckinghamshire Schools are
among the worst funded in the country in terms of per pupil funding we need your help.

We are very proud of the wide ranging and stimulating curriculum we offer. It is broad and balanced and it promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at the school. It also prepares them for the
opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. In order for us to maintain our standards and resource these enriching experiences and high
quality learning we need to continue to invest. We want all of our children to be successful and happy learners and we know that our enriched curriculum
allows this to happen.

Interactive whiteboards are a powerful and excellent tool in all classrooms across the country. They provide children with opportunities to become a Scientist, Artist, Author, Mathematician to name but a few. They can be used in a variety of different ways
such as; allowing the children to share their achievements, build rockets made from shapes and create sentences.   While some pupils are auditory
learners, others are visual learners. The boards allow information to be shared and absorbed in a multitude of ways, as well as enabling group
discussion.

The Power of Reading is a highly successful reading
program designed to support schools in raising engagement and attainment in reading and writing for all pupils. The books and resources
ensure that the children explore and develop core skills in
order to become a successful reader and writer.
At our school we want to continue to develop our vibrant reading community.

Each of the classes will be taking part in a sponsored walk on the 5th May. Each will have a fundraising page attached to this campaign. Please feel free to donate to these pages or to the campaign page directly.

Please also check whether you receive corporate matching through work as we are a registered charity. We have confirmation that we will receive £500 of corporate matching through JustGiving.

All donations will be gratefully received small or large. Please also note if any parent would like to fundraise for this campaign themselves they are very welcome to set up a fundraising page.
