We help and support Barnet's older people to stay active, engaged and independent

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

We are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 13th because we have seen the difference Age UK Barnet makes to the lives of older people in our part of London.

Age UK Barnet is a local independent charity which provides activities and delivers valuable services to the borough’s older population - our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbours. Fred has been able to see the vital work they do as part of the Age UK network up close since his Mum began working for the charity in 2011. From exercise classes, IT sessions, lunch clubs and social groups to befriending and the information and advice service Age UK Barnet works tirelessly to challenge issues faced by older people and empower them to make the most of Later Life. It will come to all of us eventually!

Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated by Age UK Barnet and funds will be used to continue meet the needs of a group often left behind by many.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
