Story
My grandparents are my rock, the place of refuge, of unconditional love and in other words, home. They are active, have travelled to many places, managed to host Christmas dinners for 24 people and keep our traditional family holiday to Wales going for nigh on 50 years.
My Grandpa was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Parkinsons Disease and over the past 10 years, having suffered a few relapses and I’ve wanted to be a part of something that makes a difference, not just for him, but for the MS global community too. My ‘Kiss Goodbye to MS challenge’ is to give up chocolate (because it is such a luxury to me) and to train to run in Nottingham’s Park Run on the 10th June. Those who know me know that I greatly dislike running and think it’s torture.
But seeing how fit and healthy my grandpa has been, and how he hasn’t let MS stop him, is an inspiration for me to be as great as they are. Thank you to everyone who’s had a read, and let’s kiss goodbye to MS!
