Founded in 1879, GSSArchitecture is 140 years old this year. In celebration of this milestone we have various activities planned throughout the year. Alongside our staff carrying out 140 hours of voluntary work throughout the year, we will also be taking part in a 140 mile coast to coast bike ride and a walk along Hadrian's wall (for those that do not wish to take part in the bike ride), in an effort to raise money for our Charity of 2019.

This year the staff have chosen Mind as our charity of the year. This means that all fundraising activities that we take part in, from donations in our charity collection box, to sponsorship for the Great North Run and our Staff Challenge, will be donated to Mind throughout the year.

Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling. Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of the mental health issues that many of us face everyday.
