Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 4th of February, Angela (General Manager of Gala Meadowbank) and Jakob (Customer Experience Manager) will be setting off from Gala Bingo Meadowbank and making our way to Gala Bingo in Bristol with no cash, no transport and only relying on the help from strangers to get us to Bristol  by 7.30pm on Sunday the 5th of February.

We will only have our phones to record our journey on social media as we make our way down the country for the Sunday evening Bingo session in Bristol. 

What we want to do is to make as much money as possible for the fantastic Grassmarket Community Project who continually help local homeless people in Edinburgh by providing free meals and workshops to help people get off the streets of Edinburgh.  These services are provided completely free and your donations will go along way to helping keep them running. 

We will be relying on the kindness of strangers to help us on our Journey so if you see us on our journey please show us your support and cheer us on.

The Grassmarket Community Project provide a safe and secure enviroment for vulnerable and homeless people in Edinburgh to get off the streets and build their confidence to get back on their feet and eventually back into work. 

Edinburgh has the most rough sleepers in Scotland and the average life of a someone who is homeless is just 47 years old.  Relationship breakdown is the primary cause of homelessness which is why services offered by The Grassmarket Project are vitally important.
