Story

Raising money in memory of Gary James Addison
(if you wish to create a fundraising page (for an event you are doing) in memory of my dad, then follow this link: http://www.justgiving.com/remember/53189/Gary%20-Addison and click 'Make a page for Gary')

I have created this page in order to collect donations in memory of my dad - a true inspiration.

He was diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma, a very aggressive form of Brain Cancer in July 2011. He went through a range of Chemotherapy & Radiotherapy treatments for 14 months.

Sadly, he lost his battle on Wednesday 6th February 2013.

He showed unbelievable strength, courage, positivity and dignity throughout. In turn, his strength made me strong! I am now at uni doing something I love because whenever I said I wanted to do something, he would say 'go on then' and never let me think something wasn't acheiveable.

I just want to thank everyone for the amount oflove and support I have received throughout my dad's illness. He truely is my inspiration and I couldn't have been more proud of him! I am hoping that together, we can come together once again and raise as much money as possible in order to support other families through, what was the hardest time in my life.

Katherine House Hospice was a god send for us. They made us feel part of a family and could not do enough for my dad, as well as my family. It's strange to say, but we have some amazing memories there, from christmas day to my christening. We could not have kept going without the help and support from the nurses - and for that I will be forever grateful!

Please please dig deep - they truly do amazing things and need every penny in order to help other families as well as they helped mine.
