Story

On Thursday the 21st of August 2014 Baby Grace came into our lives. She was gorgeous, much loved, much wanted by her mummy and daddy, her big brother and sister, her grandparents, great grandparents, her aunties and uncle, her cousins, and everyone else who had the pleasure of meeting her.

She was everything to us, after a difficult couple of years she was a shining light in our lives. She was a happy wee soul - especially when she was getting cuddles or being fed!

On the 6th of November this year our lives fell apart, Baby Grace went to sleep and never woke up.

The Scottish cot death trust has provided us with great support over the past few weeks, it's the only Scottish cot death charity and it only receives 2% of its funding from the government, the rest has to come from the generosity of the Scottish public.

It's one of the charity's you don't think about until it happens to you or someone you love. They can't afford big appeals or TV ads.

Please guys, instead of sending Christmas cards this year, or buying your morning coffee, donate a couple of pound.

There's got to be a reason, they are already doing research about brainstem abnormalities that could link to sudden infant death syndrome, if they had enough funding there could be a test when babies are born to see if they are predisposed to it and to help try to prevent it.

Thankyou for taking the time to read this page. This is for all our angel babies that were taken too soon xxx

About the charity

Every 9 days in Scotland a baby or child will die suddenly and unexpectedly - many of their families will never know why they died. As the only charity in Scotland dedicated to the issue of Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI), we provide support, education resources and fund research.
