This year, I aim to raise at least £2000 to be given to three charities on behalf of my brother, who died three months ago today. Gary ended his own life. Although it is difficult to talk about, I think it is important to. Male suicide is tragically the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK, and 12 men take their own lives every day – a fact few people are even aware of, let alone talking about. Like many in this situation, I have tried to make sense of what has happened, but I am struggling to find any positive that will help me to accept the situation, so have decided to make some positives. The charities are Children's Hospice South West, St Petrock's and Inquest. My plans include cycling on Gary's bike along the South-West coast and maybe dartmoor with Leon, my son (and may bring Juliet on my bike with the trailer for the flatter cycles). Also running the Rainbow Run, walking to the top of a fell in the Lake District and selling on ebay/gumtree etc. All suggestions, ideas and support are most welcome, thank you x

Leon and I plan to cycle at least 100 miles in the South West's beautiful countryside.  We aim to cycle approximately 20-25 mile sections of cycle routes around the coast and maybe dartmoor, over the spring and summer.  We will keep you updated with routes and pictures.
