My name is Gillian Craig. I am 35 years old and I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I have chosen to do the Born2Run/Run Forest RunWinter Race Series to raise money for a great charity - The CedarFoundation.  

This Race Series consists of eight 5k forest races throughout Northern Ireland as detailed below:

8.     Castlewellan Forest Park (Co. Down)                              Saturday 25th Feb

The Cedar Foundation delivers a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. This charity is close to my heart and is therefore an obvious choice for my fundraising due to my personal challenges living with Cerebral Palsy throughout my life. With the support of my family, I decided to give myself a challenge.

I took up the Parkrun a year ago and I attend my local Larne Parkrun every Saturday. This has given me a whole new outlook in life and I look forward to participating in this event every weekend. I have made lots of friends and get a lot of support from the Parkrun community as well as my friends and family. 

I want to show people that God has given me what I have, and I am going to use it to the best of my ability. You don't need to let a disability stop you from following and fulfilling your dreams.
