We have been best friends for 40 years.  We both turned 50 last year and wanted to mark this milestone by doing something memorable together. We are planning to walk the Camino de Santiago which is an ancient pilgrimage from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France to Santiago de Compostela  on the west coast of Spain - a 500 mile walk.

After talking with good friend Steve Mannion, we have decided to raise money from our efforts by supporting his charity 'Feet First Worldwide'. Steve is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon and the charity aims are to treat clubfoot in the developing world as well as advancing medical education, training and research. He and his team give their time voluntarily. 

Walking - it's a basic thing that most of us take for granted isn't it? In the countries Steve and his team work in there are many birth defects such as clubfoot which disables children and adults from walking. Families are faced with very limited facilities or trained staff to undertake the medical treatments or operations required.  The money we raise together will go directly to Feet First Worldwide and will make a difference. 

Please give anything you can to help as it will surely motivate us to keep walking when things get tough.
