We offer mum to mum breastfeeding support to help all babies get the best start

Story

The Breastfeeding Network has been training local mums to be able to provide peer support to local families in Gosport, Havant and the local surrounding areas for over 5 years.  The project currently has 22 trained peer support volunteers who provide support at 11 venues over the areas.  Our aim is to provide evidence based information and support to families wanting to know more about breastfeeding.

Our commissioned funding ended in April 2016 and since then we have relied on fundraising and small grants to be able to continue running the project.  We are desperate to keep the vital service we provide running and with this in mind we originally set up this page to raise money to cover the minimum supervision and coordination requirements for the volunteers to continue for a year which donations up until March 2019 did.  We now have these costs covered by a grant but we still require funds to enable us to run a peer support training course in 2020 and to buy equipment which will enable us to attend local events.

Thank you for visiting our page and for any donation you can make.
