Every day, many children are diagnosed with life-threatening diseases. They undergo painful and exhausting treatments, exhausting for them and their parents and families and some have no hope of recovery. Life really is too short...

 So why not give them as much life as we can in the little time they have? I, along with many others, followed Claudia's Cause on Facebook for years - heartbreaking and inspirational in equal measure, it was harrowing, uplifting, tragic and ultimately motivating - a testament to human courage and spirit... and so, around the 26th of July 2016, I'm going to be swimming to France and then cycling from Calais to Paris the next day with my support crew.

 I won't deny, I'm nervous and excited in equal measure. But it's got to be done - we can't let a tragedy end like that. We need to turn it into something positive so we can grant a few wishes for kids who have little time, and make their lives into something wonderful and memorable for them and their families.
