Story

In October 2016, the ambulance used by The Order of Malta, Blackrock quietly passed away.

After 17 years of loyal service she could run no more.

So we decided to run for the new ambulance.

Mark Compton, Ronan Corrigan & Davy Glen are running the 2017 Chicago Marathon to raise €10,000 to buy a new ambulance.

This charity is very close to all 3 of us and all at Global Medics as Megan Johnston, who runs the Blackrock Unit also works for Global Medics and we have first hand experience of how vital the ambulance is to the Order and to the local people of Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown and throughout Dublin.

We would be delighted if you could make any sort of contribution to this very worthy cause.

Thanks

Mark, Ronan & Davy

About the charity

The Blackrock Unit covers a major part of the southeast area of Dublin. We have a rich history going back over 60 years and have also of late extended our teachings to a Cadet Unit of 10 to 16 year olds. We currently do duties from Leopardstown races to bigger concerts in Croke Park and The 3Arena.
