My dear friends and family, 

I am turning 7 this week and my parents are hosting a birthday party for me! I am a big boy now and I know how fortunate I am and that many children are not as lucky as I am.

As my family has done by the past, I kindly ask you not to bring me any gifts for my birthday party but rather make a donation for the HoneyPot. It's a charity that my family follows and who helps vulnerable children to spend some nice holidays.

My Mum will explain what the Charity does exactly :

Since 1996 Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5 – 12 years old. We are the only charity in the UK to provide respite breaks and on-going outreach support throughout a child’s formative years. Honeypot gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provides a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.

Honeypot House is located in the beautiful New Forest, and has seven acres of idyllic grounds where children can, put very simply, be children. Each Friday, we pick 12 children up from school and they travel to Honeypot House in our mini bus, for a weekend of fun activities and time away from the stressful responsibilities they face at home. During school holidays, we can take children on break for almost a whole week away.
