We Raising funds for stem cell research to save and improve people's lives

Story

This is the page for donations in memory of Charles Purle who sadly passed away on 5th May 2018 whilst enjoying his last few days of holiday in Thailand.

Charles was a wonderful friend, father, brother and uncle who leaves an enormous hole in the lives of those who knew and loved him - and he was greatly loved by many.

Taken too soon from us, he only enjoyed 3 months of his retirement and had been looking forward to seeing much more of friends and family, being taken out for lunch and watching plenty of cricket.

Friends and family who would like to mark his passing are encouraged to do so by making a donation to his charity of choice, UK Stem Cell Foundation. Charles fundraised hard for this charity when his eldest daughter Sally completed 2 London marathons in his name, raising over £8,000 in total for what he believed was a very important cause. Charles firmly believed that the future for spinal injury patients lies with stem cell research and that one day wheelchair users like him may have fresh hope of walking again.

Funeral at 2.30pm on Monday 4th June at St Chad's Cathedral, Birmingham. All welcome. Family flowers only please.
