Story
1 in 10 children and young people in the UK suffer from a diagnosable mental health condition.
Alarmingly, only 25% receive the help they need.
Now more than ever, we need to raise awareness of mental health to prevent circumstances like these escalating.
Aerobic exercise can be a great way to improve mental well-being. So much so that some people find it can be of equal or greater efficiency in the treatment of certain mental illnesses as prescription medication.
To champion the positive impact of exercise, four of Bristol's interns are aiming to make the gruelling 73km distance from the HPE Bristol site to Cardiff Castle by bicycle!
During our charity work for Young Minds so far, the workforce at HPE have regularly praised the life-saving work and services that their donations are helping to maintain. With funding for mental health services having been significantly cut in recent years, public donations have become essential in maintaining the highest possible quality of service.
We've set ourselves an ambitious goal of £1000 and believe, given the importance of the cause and HPE's charitable culture, that we stand in good stead to reach the target!
Find out more about the kind of services your donation will help fund, including the parents' helpline, online resources, campaigns and youth engagement programmes via the YoungMinds website: https://youngminds.org.uk/.
