Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! I'm a most greatful gremlin :)

In a bid to raise money for this amazing charity, I am "going dry" of alcohol, chocolate, cake, biscuits, sweets and cheese throughout the course of January. For those of you who know me well, you will realise that this makes up most of my daily diet, so this is going to be a pretty tough challenge for me! The idea was inspired by the recent Cancer Research Dryathlon campaign, but personally I didn't feel that just giving up alcohol would be a big enough challenge for me to be worthy of sponsorship. So, I decided to go the whole hog, and ditch all the sweet treats!

The Joe Gilligan Trust was set up following the death of Joe in 2009, to help other young people battling with cancer. They do great work, and definitely need support in order to continue to do so. As a friend of Joe's, this charity is understandably close to my heart, and one I am keen to help support. I know that January is a tough month for us all financially, but if you can spare any cash at all, even if it's just a little quid you might have rolling around, it would mean the world to me and this brilliant charity.
