We promote research into brain tumours to close the funding gap for brain tumours

Story

This absolute gorgeous little man has a brain tumour which is quite frankly *insert your own expletive*.

James is 17 years old and on the autistic spectrum, he was diagnosed with a Pontine Glioma tumour in the brain. Due to its location in the brain we have been told surgery is not possible as it's too dangerous.

James is currently undergoing chemotherapy
and has already had 27 sessions of radiotherapy to try and target this extremely aggressive tumour. He is absolutely smashing his treatment – and will continue to kick that tumour’s butt!

It is because of  the fab work that charities like BTRC that James has been able to receive the best specialised treatments possible.

Brain Tumour Research Campaign is an incredible charity which is committed to help improve brain tumour treatments and work towards finding a cure that could save people’s lives!

This is why I want to raise as much money as I can for them!

In case I haven’t mentioned it - I AM DOING A TRIATHLON!! If that isn’t bad enough – it’s on a Sunday, at 7:30am and I will be swimming in the Thames. All things I would not particularly choose to do at the weekend! Sipping on Processco and eating pancakes would of course be my preferred option.

I would greatly appreciate any donations towards this bloody amazing cause!!

About the charity

BTRC works with a Neurosciences team at Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals (Imperial College London) to promote research into the causes of brain tumours and possible new treatments, to raise public awareness of the desperate need for this research and the current lack of funding.
