Harbhajan Singh Dulku. A loving husband, caring father, proud Grandfather, dear friend and mentor to many.

The wisest, most thoughtful soul most of us could ever encounter during our lifetime.

Our dearest Uncleji spent his lifetime helping others and giving guidance and support to all those around him. He had the kindness to connect with strangers at a glance but also the courage and candour to challenge the unjust and insincere in an instant.

Forever putting others first, he served with dignity and integrity in numerous community roles. His main principles in life were always righteousness and honesty. He lived by example and always encouraged forgiveness and acceptance in others.

These qualities are what makes it so difficult to say goodbye for all the family and friends he leaves behind. There is a void which we will struggle to fill but he would want everyone to look forward and remember him fondly. One of his favourite sayings was to not worry about the future, forget about the past and concentrate on the here and now. Live in the present. 

We wanted to honour him by requesting, that instead of flowers at his service, anyone can contribute to a cause which was very dear to him. Unique Home for Girls is a home for unwanted, abandoned girls in Punjab, India. In recent years, he worked tirelessly to raise money for this charity and had the good fortune to visit there and see first hand the invaluable work carried out by this organisation.

He always encouraged charity by numbers, arguing that just a few pounds given by many will always add up over time to be a meaningful contribution to those in need. It feels like a fitting tribute for us to honour him by keeping his wishes going.

For all of us whose lives he touched, his wisdom and love will live in our hearts forever..............
