We help people with spinal cord injury to transform their lives

Story

On Christmas Day 2005 my Dad, Jonathon Harrington set off to climb Cadair Idris. Ever the eccentric and adventorous character he is, it was approached with the zestful manner for life always known to him.

Unbeknown to him, (and those around him), he would later find himself in life changing circumstances. As he was making his way down the mountain he lost his footing and descended 30ft down a gully. This moment was to change his life for ever. My Dad suffered severe spinal injuries and was told it was unlikely he would ever walk again.

On the weekend of the 5th July the goal is to get my Dad up the top of Snowdon, with tremendous physical exertion guaranteed!

We pledge to raise a minumum of £2,000 for the BackUp Trust who supports, aids, motivates those with spinal injuries to regain independance and offers opportunities to fulfill ambitions that may not even seem possible!

Please consider supporting us in fundrasing to reach and help those affected:

An enormous 'Thank You' to everyone who has donated to our cause; whether we know you or not, whether relatives, friends colleagues or those of you have donated anonymously we want to thank you and my Dad has just been up his first 'Mountain' since Christmas Day 2005. One member of the team suggested 'next stop Kilimanjaro' (19,340 ft) but this may be a little ambitious so let's go for either Pen-y-fan, Scafell or Ben Nevis?

Watch out in the press for reports of our adventure; I think The Farmers Weekly MIGHT want to run it!
