We are Harry and Isla Ratcliffe, we are both 6 years old from Chorley and have set ourselves a challenge because we want to do something to help others. 

We wanted to raise money for Derian house because we are very grateful and lucky to be healthy but some children have problems which mean they have shorter lives. We want to help them have happy memories and fun but also help the families because it must be very difficult for them too. Derian house is a hospice that do a lot to help children, young people and their families so we appreciate anything you can donate.

We wanted to have a challenge and learn something new. We are taking part in a virtual challenge where together we will cover the same distance from the bottom to the top of Mount Everest. This is 40 miles/64.2 kilometres. We will do 2-5k runs or cycles as often as we can to reach the total within 6 weeks. Along the way we receive virtual post cards of where we would be on the route to the summit and we will share these with you. I’m sure we will learn a lot about the journey people take to the tallest mountain in the world! 

Please can we thank everyone that donates as we really want to get as much money for the poorly children and their families, as some children aren’t as lucky as us. We want to give them all a nice early Christmas present!
