I am the founder of the Myfanwy Townsend Melanoma Research Fund. I am not shy of a challenge, especially if it involves a brilliant cause like helping to eradicate melanoma, a disease that took away my wife, Myfanwy nearly 15 years ago.

Melanoma is now one of the fastest rising cancers in the UK and worrying, it is also our best kept secret, which is a shame as it is preventable.  My aim is to:

1.  Educate of the importance of sun protection, starting with changing habits in young people via the Outdoor Kids Sun Safety Code.

2. Raise awareness of melanoma, the warning signs, the importance of early detection etc.

3. Fund research into finding a cure. 

But I cannot do this with your  help  I would like to raise a million pounds by getting a million sponsors to support me.  Everything is possible...
