At the start of 2019 I decided to set myself a challenge of training for, and completing, a half marathon. I wanted to get fit and give Jessica a chance to watch mummy run a race.  I last completed the London marathon in 2011 pre married life, pre children and 8 years younger so perhaps it shouldn’t be a surprise that it has been a challenge to find the time and energy to train for this! 

I’m running with my very great running friend Una and to ensure we get the most out of the event we are raising money for Contact, a wonderful charity who support families with disabled children. Contact’s specialist helpline gives life changing advice to more than 10,000 parents each year. For every £10 you give, Contact can secure £130 in the pockets of families with disabled children.
