This is a MASSIVE undertaking, which will require alot of hard work & dedication along with Ironwill!

THE REASON :-

I wish to give something back...

WHY??

I have Intestinal failure, Gastroparesis, Visceral Myopathy & POTS. All were diagnosed following failed back surgery.

I am a patient of Consultant Gastroenterologist Dr Simon Gabe at St Marks Hospital Harrow London and without his expertise and care, my conditions would have continued to go undiagnosed and both myself and my family, truly believe as a result I would not be here today.

I am fed artificially via a jejenostomy tube into the small bowel to bypass the stomach, the feed is pumped into my body over the course of 13.5 hours. I also have a venting peg.

There are no cures for these conditions. Gastroparesis effects 1 in 50,000 of the population and Visceral Myopathy is a very rare condition indeed, research in this area is very difficult as is often diagnosed at a very late stage or missed. Pots is extremely debilitating.

SO...

What can we do? 

Together we can help raise awareness of St Marks and the amazing work they do...

The Hospital has World Class Consultants who are leading the way with new and innovative pioneering techniques, along with a tissue engineering program in the fight for a future free from the fear of all types of bowel disease.

Bowel Cancer, Crohn's and all types of Intestinal Failure.
