My daughter, Sian, was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Bardet-Biedl syndrome when she was just a teenager. This condition has a range of life altering symptoms which have affected her life in many ways. Thanks to the work of BBS UK, we have been able to learn a lot about this very rare condition but more importantly, we have been able to meet so many amazing people who suffer with the same condition and hear their experiences. These people have touched our lives and become life long friends. It is fair to say that Sian would not be the confident, independent woman she has grown into without the support of this charity and the great friends it has brought into her life.

The Queen of Bradgate has kindly donated use of the room. I want to raise awareness of BBS UK and also generate much needed funds for this charity. BBS is a very rare condition and affects around 500 people in the UK.
