We support families in rural Africa to learn more, grow more and sell more.

Story

Welcome to NoMad Rush’s page where we aim to raise £2,500 to Send a Cow to the people of Africa. We have selected this charity as they aim to help people in Africa not by simply giving them hand outs but by teaching them the skills that will allow them to become self sufficient, and in time through their Pass it On principle allows the recipients of aid to become donors themselves. This thereby perpetuates the donations, proving much greater assistance to the people than by giving handouts. The aim is to send a cow to create a ranch!

Why should you sponsor us? Well, the first reason is that we are aiming to walk 100km, or 62 miles in old money which is a little further than simply popping to the shops. Secondly, and more importantly the guys will have to put up with Dan for the entire journey. What makes this challenge unique is that it must be completed in one go – in other words without stopping or sleeping within 24 hours (we are of course taking Daily Mirror breaks and will be fishing Gav out of the Thames when the wind blows him in!). The most important reason for sponsoring us however is to help our amazing charity, Send a Cow!

Please visit our website for an update on our 5p challenge, as well as to see more photos of us lovely lot:  http://helpnomadrush.com/

P.S. If we hit out £2,500 target by 1 August 2014 we will all do the walk in Dankinis – chafing will be ensured!
