About Dogs for Good
Dogs for Good supports people with disabilities through trained dogs. The process of changing one of our specially bred dogs to become an assistance dog takes two years during which time our puppies are taught how to behave and respond in a variety of different locations and places such as train stations, restaurants, offices and homes. They are trained how to support someone with disabilities through a range of functional tasks learning how to pull, retrieve, head and body rest, bark on command. We don’t need to train them to become best buddies they do that on their own but we do spend a lot of time ensuring that all those that come into contact with our dogs understand how to
develop that very special human dog bond. Our clients say they feel more confident, independent and happier as a result of partnering with one of our dogs and we see the life changing differences our work and dogs make on a daily basis. Your support will help us to train and develop one of our new puppies to become an assistance dog and you will be able to follow its progress through their first year of socialising and training.
