Story

In 2016, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis.

Although it scared me slightly, the diagnosis came as a huge relief as I had been going back and forth between hospitals for 4 years before I was finally diagnosed via surgery in August 2016.

Living with the condition is something that has affected my life massively but there is currently no cure. I have already undergone 2 surgeries with likliness for more in the future and am currently experimenting with different forms of long term treatment.

Living with the condition for me & many other women means that I have to deal with A LOT of pain, am constantly tired, my hormones are often all over the place meaning that I suffer terribly with sudden drops in sugar levels (I never leave the house without a stash of sweets!) and that I have the worry of one day, struggling or not being able to conceive.

The charity Endometriosis UK have been fundamental in helping me understand and deal with this condition which is why I would now like to give back!

I would also like to raise awareness as Endometriosis is not a well-known condition despite it affecting around 1 in 10 women!

So in order to do this I have decided to host a charity party night (I love a good boogy!) where tickets will be sold in order to raise money.

The party night is being held on Saturday 23rd March 2019. In typical party fashion, there will be live music (The Dreams), drinking, dancing & a raffle full of amazing prizes (some of which include: a signed football from West Brom, a Spa Day, a. Family Photoshoot, a 1 hour tattoo sitting, paint balling tickets for 5, make up application by a fantastic make up artist and loads more!)

Tickets are £10 (free for children) and raffle tickets are £2 for a strip of 5.

My Just Giving page can be used to pay for tickets and make other donations. Please just leave your name when donating for tickets so that I know who to allocate tickets to!

If you aren’t local or can’t make it - don’t worry! You can still purchase raffle tickets or simply make a donation towards the event if you wish.

I am hoping for it to be a fantastic night of singing and dancing and a great opportunity to raise awareness, give back to Endometriosis UK and celebrate all of the brave, strong women currently battling with this condition!

To give you a little more info and for those of you that don't know: Endometriosis is a chronic and debilitating condition where cells like the ones in the lining of the womb are found elsewhere in the body.

It affects around 1 in 10 women and currently, there is no cure.

As you can imagine, it can cause an endless list of problems including chronic pain, bowel & bladder problems, fatigue and the inability to conceive.

To learn more, you can visit: https://www.endometriosis-uk.org

I really hope that as many of you as possible can make it and if not, can at least spare a few pounds for raffle tickets or make a donation. Every penny will be really, really appreciated and every little helps!

Love, Holly xx
