Story

Set up in early autumn of 2014 as part of Future Foundations, National Citizenship Program (NCS), IFP is a voluntary group that aims to improve the engagement of primary school aged children in education, mainly through the provision of, and guidance towards the use of, electronic tablets.

At IFP, we know that people excel in what they enjoy doing, for example when learning a new instrument students often spend far more time rehearsing than they do on more mundane activities, and this extra practice means they learn quickly. This leads us to our name: Interest Fuels Progression (IFP) which encompasses how - by getting children interested in learning - we can make them achieve greater things and ultimately improve their mindset towards their educations and work for years to come.

We have recently partnered with a Berkshire based charity ABC to Read. ABC’s mission is to assist disabled children in learning to read with the help of 120 volunteers.
