Alzheimer Scotland have given Ian & I so much support over the last few years since Ian was diagnosed with this awful disease  As well as providing Day Care they organise social activities for everyone involved & are a ready source of advice & information.  During lockdown contact has been maintained on line & through phone calls which has helped to reduce the feeling of isolation.

This is why I am challenging myself to walk 10k on Saturday 19 September - my daily average last year was 2.3k!  My friends Nancy, Janette & May who sadly have lost their husbands to Dementia are going to accompany me on my walk so I’m sure we will have a great day out & have lots of stories to share. Hopefully we will also raise a lot of money for Alzheimer Scotland which has been & still is a great support to us all.

Funds raised will help this to continue & of course contribute to the much needed research which hopefully one day will eradicate this growing disease.
