It is with great sadness and sorrow we received the news of the demise of our teacher and the teacher of our teachers, Muḥaddith al-ʿAṣr Shaykh al-Hadīth Hadhrat Mawlānā Muhammad Yūnus Jownpūrī (d. 1438/2017). This page has been set up to fundraise for a Masjid in Indonesia, which will be built as Esale Thawab for Shaykh Yunus Saheb (rahimahullah).

Over the last two years, Shaykh Yunus Saheb (rahimahullah) would say often: "When I die, make sure you give Sadaqah on behalf of me; 5 or 10 Rupees."

Ibn Majah (738) narrated from Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow’s nest or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

What is meant in the hadeeth is to encourage giving even the smallest amount to build a mosque. 

The one who participates in or contributes to building a mosque will have a reward commensurate with his contribution.
