Fundraising for Kidney Research UK
Story
Thanks for visiting... I have always wanted to run the London Marathon since I watched it on televsion from St Mary's Hospital on the day Hannah was born. It has taken me 21 years to pluck up the courage to actually go ahead with the training (and boy o boy there's a lot of training!)
The London Marathon is a wonderful event that supports thousands of charities. I have chosen to run for Kidney Reasearch UK, as kidney disease has recently affected my family.
Kidney Research UK are dedicated to improving our understanding of kidney disease and they desperately need funds to support their research into the causes, treatment and management of this often silent disease. Because of their research breakthroughs more kidney patients and their families have the chance of a normal life.
Charities like this really depend on support they can get from old hacks like me challenging themselves to run round the 26.2 mile course! So if you feel inspired/charitable/just sorry for me then please give by clicking the link below...
