I will be cycling from John O'Groats to Lands end to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. This cruel disease will touch nearly all of us at some point, directly or indirectly, yet the government spends 8 times more on cancer research than it does on Alzheimer's. 

I am by no means an athlete and 1000 miles is a very long way to cycle. I am going to ride on my own with no support and I will be camping each night. There is no doubt in my mind that this is going to be a long, lonely, and tough journey but if I can in some small way improve the life of someone suffering with Alzheimer's it will be worth it.
