We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

From Friday 16th October - Monday 19th October 2015 I’m going to be taking part in a sponsored silence, with a difference! Trapped in a hotel room for the weekend (75 hours in total), I won’t have access to any type of entertainment. No book, iPhone, TV or luxury food is allowed. There will also be an annoying song on repeat, which you get to choose! Once you’ve donated, you’ll received a unique link to place your vote.

For somebody with Anxiety, OCD & Claustrophobia this is a huge challenge for me and something that I’m really going to struggle with.

Next to my hotel room will be the production room, who will take over the ‘Jack In A Box’ Facebook & Twitter pages to keep everyone updated over the weekend. They will also be coming up with even more ways to cause me distress over the 75 hours. You can follow this live, and watch video footage from my room… after all, if you’ve paid - you need to see that I’m actually completing the challenge.

I’m raising money for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), a charity that’s very close to my heart as you’ll see in my previous fundraising activities. My Nephew was diagnosed with Diabetes a few years ago and since then I’ve gained an enormous amount of admiration for the families around young people with Diabetes.

This charity event isn’t for me, it’s for you to get involved and be entertained. Please get involved today and pledge what you can to help us get closer to curing Type 1 Diabetes.
