Having visited Orbis's Flying Eye Hospital this year, I was truly inspired by the mission of the charity, staff, and volunteers, and indeed the aeroplane itself. (I love aeroplanes! )  It’s very easy to be enthusiastic about the work of the charity when the impact of Orbis’s work is so dramatic and life-changing. Operation Sight is an ambitious programme and will deliver over a million eye care treatments for children and adults by the end of 2018. The gift of sight is a fantastic thing, and Orbis really do marvellous work.

I’ve been a supporter of Orbis since 2007 and I hope you will support me in raising funds for the charity.  Please give as much as you can spare and help me to reach my target. All donations, large or small will help. I'm not intending to run the marathon more than once - it's a one-off lifetime objective for me, hence the ambitious target of £3500!
