Cumbria Way Ultra race · 15 September 2018

Headcase raises funds for research to find a cure for the most common adult primary brain tumour - a Glioblastoma Multiforme or GBM. GBMs are incurable and kill 5000 adults each year in the UK . Headcase is staffed entirely by volunteers and will be funding PhD research in labs across the UK.

I will be doing this race to raise money to fund research into Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumours which are right bastards of cancers. This form of brain cancer is not as rare as I thought, but gets a tiny portion of research funding. The race is 73 miles with 10,000 feet of ascent from Ulverston to Carlisle via the lake district. I hope to complete the whole thing non-stop in about 21 hours.

Please look at http://www.headcase.org.uk for more information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
