We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

So I had decide to challenge myself for an amazing cause, by running the marathon in Amsterdam on Sunday 20th October with a life long friend Katherine Howarth. The training is well under way and the reason I am excited is that I will be running for a charity so close to my heart, Alzheimer's.

My Grandma Margaret is an amazing woman who would do anything for anyone and still does. She might be 84 and lived with Alzheimer's for 9 years however, she never stops smiling and still lives life at home alone due to the amazing support she gets through a range of care networks. I am proud to have her in my life and donations to charity are a way of ensuring she, and others with this terrible disease can be happy.

The money raised will help people and their families to cope with Alzheimer's/dementia. This includes teaching, supporting, and promoting good quality care at a time, when there are cut backs and provide new information on new technology avenue's. It will also be used for research into treatment to protect the brain from this illness.

Any support would be greatly appreciated and doing this means so much to me and my family.
