Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit James and Daniel's JustGiving page.
On June 23rd 2018 James Hanson and Daniel Mason will be cycling the first stage of the 2018 Tour de France, two weeks before the professionals.
All 195km of it... in one day! In the Vendee region of western France.
To put this into context the longest organised ride we have ever completed is 55km last year and the only reason we broke 50km was because we got lost enroute. So there is much work to be done... on bike fitness and navigation.
The reason we are doing this is that we have sadly recently experienced the harsh reality of Prostate Cancer when we lost a colleague, Jason, to the disease a few weeks ago. Jason was a good friend to us all and a fantastic family man, and passed away much too young.
My Mum's (James') partner is also under-going treatment for advanced Prostate cancer, and will help provide inspiration for us as we train hard for a long day in the saddle.
The more we can do to raise funds, but just as importantly, raise awareness for this important cause the better. Please just remind us about this half way around...
So any money you can spare would be very much appreciated by us both and will go directly to the charity as we have covered the logistical fees ourselves.
Thank you.
James and Daniel
Now.... where can we find padded saddles.
