Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the 2016 Crated Classique 100 mile cycle ride to try and raise funds for my beautiful friend, Elena Baltacha, who's tennis academy is based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Elena's vision was to try and create tennis opportunities for children from all backgrounds, and to give them a chance to pick up a racket and try the wonderful sport of tennis.  By raising more funds we can continue to support Elena's vision, create more opportunities, and carry Elena's legacy on. 

Elena was the most selfless person I have ever met.  She would do anything for anyone, and always with a smile on her face.  Hopefully now it's our opportunity to give back.

About the charity

Before her death in May 2014, Elena Baltacha set up her charity with one goal - to give more children, from all backgrounds, the opportunity to learn to play tennis. The Elena Baltacha Foundation is committed to making sure Elena's work continues and that we keep enriching kids' lives through sport.
