On May 7th 2017 I will be competing in the Port Macquarie Ironman in Australia which entails a 2.4 miles swim (~3.8km), followed by a 112 mile bike ride (~180km) followed by a marathon. It will be a monumental challenge seeing as I have never run even half a marathon, cycled 50 miles or swum close to 2.4 miles. 

Oundle School Mencap Holiday. Those of you who have experienced the holiday will no doubt understand the importance of this holiday not only to the children but also to their parents. It is a week where children with disorders ranging from learning difficulties to physical disabilities are given the opportunity to go to theme parks, go swimming and go the the beach and just have a great time! This is a charity that I have been involved in as a helper and it is amazing to see how the children express themselves be it through dancing, sailing, singing or any of the other activities thrown in for them. The looks on their faces always says it all and Mencap is the reason.
