Story

HUGE thanks for all your support. It propelled me onwards, in the heat and.....Yay! We did it!! I walked with my sister, Di and her friend, Tess and phew! it was a hot one. Didn't start the 10 mile walk til noon, on one of the hottest days of the year so far. 750 walkers started the 10 miler and there were 500 on the 20 mile. I dropped in on my Tai Chi class in Bushey Park first and the exercises were a very useful warm up. Then, at the Pink Ribbon start,  a  few more warm ups and a rather annoying male MC shouting at 'you guys'  all the time. We are not guys! Good to meet many of my commissioning editors in the Woman & Home tent!Anyway, it was wonderful to walk along the river ( we waved at Sally & John McGinn in their Thames Ditton Island house), through Bushey Park and Hampton Court Home Park and see cygnets, goslings, young deer and lovely scenery.  So familiar to me but still a spectacular way to see it. All on one level, thank goodness. A very welcome bowl of pasta afterwards ( free) and then got in the car and drove the 3 hours home. Hot bath and some wine.Today, after a sea swim, I feel I could do it all again!! Next challenge? Macmillian Gower Macmarathon on September 13th, along the Gower coast. Glorious! Join me!

Love and thanks. Jan XXXXXX

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last minute, as always. I'm not very organised and I hate asking for donations because we all have our own passions causes but I also think we all know good friends, maybe family who have been affected by breast cancer and we also know how difficult it is to feel we can do anything to help  that makes a difference. So I feel no shame in suggesting that if you can, a donation would be a wonderful help. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Much love and thanks
