I need your help to raise money for Brain Tumour Research because  brain tumour research receives less than 1% of the national spend on cancer research, and yet it kills more people under 40 than any other cancer.  Hard to believe!!!   And so I want to do whatever I can as I may be needing one of those cures in the years to come.

In Nov 2014 I was lucky enough to be invited to help promote a new Centre of Excellence focusing on research into low-grade brain tumours (like mine).  Brain Tumour Research charity aim to set up 7 such centres and one is in my home town in partnership with Plymouth University Peninsula School of Medicine.  I did a bit for the local news on my story.  I got to meet Benjamin Mee who is the owner of Dartmoor Zoo (We Bought A Zoo movie fame) and he is such a lovely, gracious man.  Wonderful storyteller and a true ambassador for Brain Tumour Research following the untimely death of his wife in 2007.   Just mixing with these inspiring people makes you want to do more for the charity, so I have upped my target of £1000 to £2740.  Why?...because believe it or not it costs £2740 for just one days research!!  This is why every penny counts in the fight to find a cure in an area of research which is so badly funded.  Please help.
