My dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2012  at the age of 48 when I was 12 years old. I could not be prouder of how he fought the disease, and how well he did at the time despite other personal issues he had to deal with as well. And as of 7 years since diagnosis he continues to live a great and healthy lifestyle and I would love more people to be able to tell such a positive story and with more money into research and support this can happen.
