Five years ago I ran my first half marathon in Edinburgh, and this year I'll be aiming for the full distance for the first time. It's going to be a real challenge for me (if my recent 20 mile training run is anything to go by) but it'll help me keep going in the later miles to know that I'll be raising money for such a great charity: Elliot's Footprint, run by two amazing people, Andrea and John Kerslake.
Founded in 2014 and created in their late son's name, Elliot's Footprint helps families through child bereavement. They offer help and guidance whilst campaigning and fundraising for improved bereavement services. This year the charity is working with other organisations in the Yorkshire region to raise the funds to pay for a Bereavement Support Worker who will reach out and be there for a family when they need them the most.
