A couple of years ago I couldn't run to the corner of the road (unless Bear Grylls was waiting there) but I started with a gentle Couch to 5k. Inspired and encouraged by family and friends, the running bug has now burrowed firmly under my skin and I've even managed the Preston 10k. I feel great!  

Inspired by 47 year old Nicky Spinks who, after surviving breast cancer, now holds the Bob Graham Round record, I'd really love to one day do a Lakeland Trail Marathon.  That's still a bit of a way off but the Delamere Forest Tough 10 takes me one muddy step closer.

I'm privileged to be on this journey.  Many never get the opportunity and others, their journeys are much more exhausting, with obstacles that would challenge the endurance of an elite fell ultra runner.  Hopefully, the Tough10 can contribute to making someone's journey short and with a positive outcome.  Please give whatever you can - it doesn't need to be big pounds - it will all add up.
