Fundraising for Positive East
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Positive East is a charity I am immensely proud of and always happy to support. They provide much needed services and support for those affected & infected by HIV.
With the cuts in statuary funding, Positive East made some major changes and is a smaller organisation, providing the same if not more of these essential services! Fundraising is more important than ever!
So in turning 40, how best to celebrate! Of course by signing up to 4 half marathons in the year before turning 41! Living in this magnificent British Isles, I decided to run a race in each capital city of the 4 great countries that make up the United Kingdom.
I've kicked it all off with The Hackney Half Marathon in London on the 30th April. Awesome race, started with a high 5 from Mr Branson himself! completed in 2 hours 50 minutes-I can do better than that!
The Edinburgh Half Marathon, 28th May was brilliant. Beautiful route along the coast and mostly on a gentle downward slope.
The Dublin Rock & Roll Half Marathon on 13th August was awesome.
And so the finale with The Cardiff Half Marathon on the 1st October :)
And what a finale! Absolutely brilliant race, sad to finish this challenge! Thanks so much to everyone for their support. It means a lot to me and Positive East jxxx
