To mark my 60th year on the planet, I want to do something for other people on the planet who are not in such a privileged position. Having worked with charities before in Africa, I know first-hand what a difference our cash can make to real lives when properly distributed. 500 Miles is a charity that does just that, providing prosthetics (artificial limbs costing an average of £175) to children and adults who need them. Lack of mobility in African villages is a real life changer, leading to isolation and blighted lives. So help my creaking limbs to help theirs! Having started training on a very wet Edinburgh-St Andrews ride (68 miles) mine are very rusty!
