Story

I still can’t quite believe I'm doing this but it's for such a fantastic cause, so I would be hugely grateful if you felt like supporting in any small way you can....

What?
I've been invited to join a team of 25 colleagues from the convenience retail and wholesale sector to raise awareness and life-saving funds for MAG's work. We will cycle through extreme heat to cross Cambodia in 5 days - averaging 100k a day. It's a tough route and it won't be easy - the team will be facing extreme heat and challenging terrain. It is the extremest challenge I will have ever done but what I do know is for definite:
a) I WILL cry
b) I WILL laugh
c
) I WILL complete it

When?
Feb 2020

Why?
Right now, 60 million of women, girls, boys and men are living in fear of death and injury from these indiscriminate killers. 20 people are reported killed or injured by a landmine or unexploded bomb every day. Many more deaths go unreported.

MAG finds, removes and destroys explosive remnants of war from places affected by conflict. It also provides mine risk education programmes so that people can live, work, travel and play as safely as possible until the land is cleared.

By sponsoring the me today, you are helping MAG to save lives and build futures in countries from Angola to Vietnam, and Bosnia to Zimbabwe.

Please show your support by sponsoring me today!

Hugest thanks in advance

About the campaign

A team of 33 superheroes from the convenience retail and wholesale sector are taking to their bikes for the 5th and final time to raise awareness and life-saving funds for MAG's work. The will cycle through extreme heat to cross Cambodia in six days.

About the charity

Every single day, 15 people are killed or injured because of landmines and other explosive weapons. Half of all civilian casualties are children. MAG finds and destroys these weapons to save lives and rebuild futures; helping people to grow crops, attend school and build homes.
